Established in 2010, the Mount St. Mary Foundation continues to build a legacy of education in the Mercy tradition through its mission to build and manage the financial means necessary to support the work of Mount St. Mary Academy in the decades to come.

Many giving opportunities exist at Mount St. Mary Academy. Your support allows us to continue our efforts to prepare our students - and the campus - for the challenges of the future.

MSM Annual Fund  |  Special Events  |   Endowments  |  Planned Gifts  |  Monthly Giving

Annual giving through the Annual Fund Campaign, special events, grants and other sources provides the funds needed on a day-to-day basis to assist the operations of Mount St. Mary Academy. Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Mount St. Mary Academy is not a Diocesen school and is tasked each year with raising the difference between the income from tuition and the full cost of educating students at Mount St. Mary Academy.

Every effort must be made to reduce Mount St. Mary Academy's dependency on tuition-generated revenues to keep the school competitive with other area college preparatory schools. Just and competitive salaries must be provided to attract and retain the best teachers available, and a Mount St. Mary Academy education must remain accessible to the young women of Central Arkansas regardless of financial ability.

The Lasting Efforts Endowments occupy an important place, as their development provides a dependable amount of revenue from year to year and makes MSM less reliant on raising tuition fees and less dependent on the results of the Annual Fund Campaign.

Endowments address five key areas.

How is a named endowment established?
To establish a named endowment or scholarship fund, the donor or family must make a commitment of at least $25,000. This may be paid at the time the fund is established or over a multi-year period of up to five years.

Donors may contribute to MSM's Tuition Assistance Fund and/or any of the existing named scholarships. Donors also have the opportunity to establish a named scholarship, either need-based or merit-based, as a living tribute or in memory of a loved one.

Thank You!

Each year, we invite our alumnae, parents, and friends to share in the mission of Mount St. Mary Academy through their generosity as well as their continued involvement in our Mercy community. And we are eternally grateful for the support we receive. It is through this support that we are able to keep the vision of the first Sisters of Mercy alive and provide our students an outstanding Catholic, college preparatory education.

The Impact of Your Generosity
  • Mount St. Mary Foundation was able to provide $385,119 in total tuition aid during the 2014-2015 school year. Several items from the “Wish List” were funded by gifts made to the annual giving campaign for specific classroom and school needs, including campus beautification in front of the McAuley Center and a Game Ready System for the MSM Athletics Department.
  • During the 2014-2015 school year, Mount St. Mary Foundation provided $1.4 million, nearly 24% of Mount St. Mary Academy's operating budget, through endowments, grants, bequests, special events, designated and Annual Fund gifts.

Your giving has helped every student this year by bridging the gap between the actual cost of a Mount St. Mary Academy education and what is charged in tuition.
